CompSource Mutual CFO, Steve Hardin, to assume the role of acting president

OKLAHOMA CITY (November 30, 2023) — CompSource Mutual Insurance Company, a leading provider of workers’ compensation coverage in Oklahoma, announced today the appointment of Steve Hardin to the role of acting president.

Hardin, a 25 year member of the CompSource Mutual staff, has served as the organization’s CFO and SVP of Fiscal Services since 2006. His guidance and leadership of the company’s fiscal activities led to the successful attainment and retention of an A (Excellent) rating by AM Best, a key strategic pillar for the company.

“The board felt it critical to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Steve’s leadership as CFO has proven him to be a driven, outcome-focused leader who clearly understands the strategic framework that poises CompSource Mutual for continued growth. Steve will undoubtedly guide us through this transition period with minimal disruptions or impacts to daily operations,” said Randal Allen, board chairman for CompSource Mutual.

These moves come following the announcement earlier this month that Jason Clark, who has served as president and CEO since 2009, would resign his position effective Dec. 1, to pursue other professional opportunities. Clark has accepted an invitation from the board to serve as a special advisor following his departure.
