TULSA (Oct. 29, 2026) – CompSource Mutual Insurance Company, the state’s premier workers’ compensation benefits provider, recently donated $10,000 to the Union Schools Education Foundation to provide classroom supplies for students and educators across Union Public Schools.

The donation reflects CompSource Mutual’s commitment to supporting Oklahoma communities by investing in education and helping students access the resources they need to learn and succeed.

“At CompSource Mutual, we believe strong communities start with strong schools,” said Mark Gruber, chief operating officer at CompSource Mutual. “We’re proud to provide this donation to support the work Union’s educators and staff are doing every day to help students learn, grow and prepare for their futures.”

A recent study found that teachers spend an average of $600 of their own money on classroom supplies each school year. Donations like the one from CompSource Mutual can lessen this financial strain on educators and allow them to focus their time and resources on preparing the next generation of leaders.

“We want every Union student to graduate with a plan for what comes next and the opportunity to pursue it,” said Shea Ludwig, executive director of Union Schools Education Foundation. “CompSource is helping make that possible by supporting students in the classroom and investing in two seniors as they take their next steps. We sincerely appreciate their commitment to our students and their futures.”

CompSource Mutual’s commitment to Oklahoma extends far beyond the policies and services the company provides. Through donations, partnerships with organizations like Kids’ Chance of Oklahoma, employee-driven fundraising efforts and consistent support for local and regional nonprofits, CompSource Mutual continues to strengthen communities across the state.
