Coverage Details
Workers’ compensation coverage provides for all reasonable and necessary medical care for job-related injuries or occupational diseases including fees for medical, surgical, hospital, nursing, ambulance, and other related services. Costs for medication, crutches, braces, supports, prosthetic devices, and physical rehabilitation are also covered. Injured workers may also receive reimbursements for certain travel expenses for authorized medical treatment or time off work related to a workplace injury.
Injured workers have access to the following:
- Partial reimbursement of lost wages
- Medical treatment & pharmacy benefits
- Mileage reimbursement
- Permanent disability coverage, if necessary
- Job placement or retraining, if necessary

Pharmacy
Need a prescription?
- CompSource Mutual offers pharmacy benefits through Healthesystems.
- The First Fill Form allows injured workers to receive prescriptions promptly while their claims are still being set up.

Medical Care
We’re here to help you get the care and support you need after a work-related injury or illness.
Medical care is coordinated as part of your workers’ compensation claim, so reporting injuries as soon as possible helps keep your care moving forward.
After an injury has been reported, you can use the search tool to find in-network providers or call your claims adjuster at (800) 347-3863. Your medical provider will need authorization from your claims adjuster before your visit.

Mileage Reimbursement
If you travel for medical treatment related to your workplace injury, you may be eligible for mileage reimbursement.
- Reimbursement applies to travel exceeding 20 miles roundtrip
- Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS-approved rate, which is updated annually (2026 rate: 72.5 cents per mile)
